Catholic secondary schools in Birmingham work together to ensure that the education received in a Catholic school is of the highest quality, not only academically but also spiritually. The core purpose of Birmingham's Catholic Partnership is to promote the Common Good, as outlined by the Bishops of England and Wales. By working together in the spirit of the Gospel message the achievements of the whole Partnership far exceed the sum of the individual member schools.
What is the Catholic Partnership?
The Catholic Partnership is made up of the nine Catholic secondary schools in Birmingham. The schools are Archbishop Ilsley, Bishop Challoner, Bishop Walsh, Cardinal Wiseman, Holy Trinity, St Edmund Campion, St John Wall, St Paul's and St Thomas Aquinas.
What does the Partnership do?
Since 1988 staff in the Partnership's schools have been working together on curriculum and professional development to enhance the education we are able to offer all our students. The Partnership is governed by the Partnership Board which comprised the 9 Headteachers of the member institutions and is served by a full time central team of 2 staff. In each school there is a named Coordinator. The Partnership is centrally involved with a number of employers and training organisations.
